You might be right. I think it's because most users arent using v-sync or play Stlaker.

No one is reporting it here in the club. Didn't even know it exsisted. It's pretty minimal might be the reason. It's non-existed for me in BF3, Crysis 2, COD Black Ops, Dues Ex, Skyrim, Dirt 3, WOW, Batman Arkam City and SWTOR that I or my family plays in both 2D or 3D Vision. *whew*

I do hope Nvidia addresses it. Last updates brought the 500 series up to par with some of the current features using the newer drives. They aren't leaving anyone behind with the updates.

I've had a vanilla I sold to a cousins friend for 'an offer i couldnt refuse' and my current SC so far so good.

Its been a while for me, but the last card I had to RMA was an EVGA 8800, and it went well enough. That card died in less than a week, I think I got my new one also within a week.

Anyone get the GB Windforce 3 fan 680 yet? Opinions on that cooler style?

Considering the limited market availability and super-high demand for these cards, it really is a brilliant scheme isn't it? wink.gif

There is a pretty decent sized thread on Nvidia forums about the vsync issues. I've actually seen screen tearing in 3d vision which I've never seen before. Mostly in Metro. Also Just cause 2 and apparently Fallout 3 performance in 3d vision is subpar. They both play fine in 2d.

Either way a month is quite a while with no real driver update on a brand new architecture. Their launch support isn't all that great. IIRC the only available driver for GTX460 for a couple of months after launch was a single beta.

Even Kyle from Hard ocp made comments about GTX680 being more problematic than 7970 was at launch, for him at least.

I haven't tried stalker, but I haven't had any issues with vsync, and I use it on every game that I play.

Well let's see where it ends up. You and I both know Nvidis does pretty well with updates. 3D Vision always improving and games getting FPS boosts. They are pretty timely normally.

I do hope they take care of it as a problem regardless small or not is a problem.

Not sure how HardOCP can say Nvidia was more problematic. AMD after three months still has bigger issues where Crossfiring is not functioning properly in games without crashing, lock ups, and BSOD's. Some other minor issues but nothing that can't be fixed like the Nvidia issues I wasn't even aware of.

Honestly if one is going to complain I can see why it'd be right to the horses mouth on the Nvidua site. Get a lot more notice. I'll check it out. Thanks for bringing to our attention.

For those running a 3DMark 11 - check your RAM in your BIOS. If it's on Auto you'll limit your Physics score it seems. When I forced the 1600 MHz it gave another 400 points on my total score.

Got my asus installed. Not a great clocker. Pretty much like the card I had to return.

Couldn't get through a heaven bench until I got it down to 1228. Oh well just glad I'm running again. thumb.gif

Mine benchmarking hits 1223 MHz but intense BF3 multi player fights hit 1254 MHz same OC. You hit a +222 MHz bump benching that's a good over clock. Play some intense battle scenes and log your Core. See if GPU boost increases for you.

(Last series we didnt get +200 MHz Core OC and didn't say it wasnt good).

I think we're seeing the exceptional few clockers that get lucky and we're comparing expecting same. Even compared to the 7970 anything over 1206 MHz should be glad. smile.gif

Both cards are getting +200 MHz memory over clocks as well. Impressive IMO.
