Man this card is getting annoying, I cant play Medieval 2 Total War. Seems to lack support for the card or the other way around.
Rome Total War GPU usage is around 12% and Core clock 384Mhz.

Also my GPU usage in Batman AC is around 50%..

Well, looks like everyone is doing better than me. frown.gif

I was just doing some testing with my OC. I left power at 132% and memory at stock. The highest I could go was +75 on the core and make it through a run of Heaven. Temps on my card reached 60C at the highest. My card also seems to be a little different than most.

My stock clocks are 1059 Mhz core and 1124Mhz boost. At stock, my clocks will not boost anywhere past the 1124 Mhz mark. When I OC'd to my +75. My core clocks go to 1134 Mhz and Boost to 1199 Mhz. It will not boost past 1199 Mhz. I guess it makes OC'ing a little easier becasue I know what I will get, but everyone else I see usually boosts past their stock boost speeds. Wonder if it has something to do with the BIOS on my Twin Frozr. BIOS version is 80.04.09.00.C0 (P2002-0000)

After I got core speeds, I just set my memory to +300 beings I know that doesn't make that much of a difference and still made it through a run of Heaven.

The card is still great at stock, but I am a little disappointed in my OC ability. Seems anything that goes over 1200 Mhz will not make it through a run of Heaven. Unless there is something I am doing wrong. I'm using Afterburner 2.2.0 final.

Seems 1200 is the average for these cards. I would say its not normal for cards to go past stock boost at load. But some do. Also both the cards I have had go to a set boost number at load and don't go above that. I have the feeling some peoples cards just weren't fully loaded when they say they saw additional boost.

But who knows they are totally new and we are just learning.

Ya, I know 1200 should be considered pretty good yet, but wish I would have got a better card like some people hitting 1300Mhz. I thought I saw somewhere also that some people were able to get better OC with Precision X compared to Afterburner. Is there any truth to that?

EDIT: Even the Guru3d.com review of the Twin Frozr showed that their stock boost speed actually went over 1124 Mhz to 1173 Mhz? Wish they would have showed a GPU-z screenshot so we could see what BIOS they had. Also, anyone notice any difference in OC using 301.10 vs 301.24 beta?

@Jbob - 1200-1300 MHz with the 680 is the range these almost all our cards pull. Even with our voltage capped at 1.175v. Pesonally benching we see less and full throttle gaming we can gauge the true potential. GPU Boost does much better dynamically over clocks in gaming for us being more if a gamers card.

My personal synth bench clock is 1223 MHz and my game bench is 1254 MHz.

On a side note. I sold my 580 today w/back plate & hi-flow bracket for $300. My kids get this 680 SC in thier rig and my main rig now will be looking foward to mid May for the 680 FTW 4 GB card. Set aside $600 and ready to go. thumb.gif

FTW 2GB or 4GB come in vapor chamber like the Signature card version chamber. Same 8+6 power connections. Will feature 8 Phase PWM's.

That is what I figured. I guess it is not all bad. I keep forgeting that mine is factory OC'd to start with. My +75 core would be equivilent to about +141 on a non OC'd card.
