Here is a screen shot of my GTX 680 vanilla card I had where I'm showing both sides of GPU-Z showing my original off set GPU Boost & Core and the second GPU-Z showing what I maxed in that run.

This wasn't my highest 3DMark11 score but the only one I took these two shots of GPU-Z from same run. Notice offset Base 1134 Mhz Core is 1237 Mhz Core Boost when it was done running.

I see you max power consumption in GPU-Z went up to just about 114%. The highest I have seen mine go is ~109%. Maybe that is why your card boosts higher than mine. Maybe my card just doesnt want to pump the extra power into it for some reason.

You could have paid me half the difference and I would have camped 'em for you tongue.gif We'd have both made out well smile.gif I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a reference GTX 680, especially when you're rocking 580s in the mean time smile.gif But that's just me... we all have different values.

My WindForce 680 comes tomorrow, my H100 comes Wednesday, and my i7 3770k comes ASAP after launch... Things are about to get real wink.gif

If you have 3930k (6 cores) you could be getting ~P21000 due to physic score is about 15500 at 4.7ghz. Thing is I don't know much about Xeon... and why GTX 680 SLI on Xeon....
I'm pointing this out because it hurt to see if you spend $1k CPU on those 2 CPU (2.5Ghz with 2 cores, more cores the slower the frequency will get down to 2.3Ghz.) which is meant for server purpose only. They are slower in term per core vs a single 3xxxx series CPU. You should have gotten 3960X or 3930K which is more beneficial for your GTX 680 SLI if games are more CPU based (not physx).
thanks. this is only not gaming computer. upgraded to workstation for video render.

So your saying it boosts higher than what gpuz reports? I think they all do that.

Yeah the base starts off where I have the offset.

Dynamic over clocking will auto boost past where I have my set boost. It's tricky because I have to find the best offset without crashing when auto boost does take off. If I crash I back down incrementally until I find stable.

I've found that benching stability is higher than when I game. So my final test is playing BF3 multiplayer for a couple hours (poor me) smile.gif

Seems my card is stable at 1177MHz / 3281 (+80 + 280 and PT at 110%) Cant go higher or driver will crash.

Been having the clock for like 3 days now and played Battlefield 3, Shogun 2, Deus Ex, GTA IV, Dirt 3, Civilization V (which seems to be a rather performance hog, 1600MB VRAM usage and GPU basicly spiked at 99%) Max temp Ive reached ~75c during gaming, and no the clock has not downclocked yet.

Well, I'm about to be a member of your prestigious community! I snagged an EVGA SC+ from Tigerdirect.com a few hours ago. Hopefully it makes it here by the end of the week. This'll be my first Nvidia card, so I'm looking forward to playing around with a new manufacturer's product.

Anyone played the Sniper Elite V2 demo on steam? Its pretty fun I pre-ordered the game after playing it.

Been putting gall this money into my rig but keep playing the same ol BF3. While its still great its good to get some freshness now and then.
