[Official] NVIDIA GTX 680 Owner's Club - Page 272

post #2711 of 6048
While I was fleshing out all of my GTX 680's to find which was the best over-clocker I found out I have a beast card. I always wondered why this card all the way at the end in my 4-way SLI config operated so much cooler than the others. It is crazy efficient.

1328 MHz core, 3580 MHz memory at stock voltage! Also EVGA Scanner X and OCCT stable at these frequencies. My other three GTX 680's would top out around 1240-1260 MHz core when used on their own.

This core is so efficient it idles at 18 C! Anyone else see clocks like these? It will make a nice single GPU for my new mini-build.

To try to fix this you’ll need to try a couple of things.
1) Update your video card drivers
2) Update your Direct-X
3) USUALLY installing the DirectX package that comes with the game ends up helping problems such as this one…Just FYI
4) Run the game in Windows XP compatibility mode if you are on Windows 7
=================

Drivers and direct x are update to date... not sure why i'd have to run battlefield 3 in xp mode... i'm sure no-one else does that.

It's more than likey the white balance being off and not displaying true colors and it could result from an individual's monitor not being properly calibrated and making colors look odd.

I'm waiting on my Ivy chip and some new G.SKILLS Trident X 8GB 2400 MHz RAM and should have my build ready by Saturday. Doing back up of system for a fresh install on my new rig just for the hell of it and start a new.
Your going to love the GTX 680 if your a hardcore gamer. It's really impressive BF3 multiplayer and kills on single monitor set ups of any kind. OC that bad boy and welcome to the club! thumb.gif

Thanks, Arizonian but it really isn't all that special. I did the sleeve myself, still not done with it but ran out of sleeving, and buying more it bit of a pain right now since I got it from MDPC-X (nils). Also the cables just want to just go every where, I want them more inline like and neat looking. May buy ext. and see if I can get the desire look I want.

I already Love my GTX 680, and have played with it a little raised the power boost to +137 (not sure what it does) and core offset to 100, and it getting 1237Mhz on core. I haven't touched volts or anything either. *shrugs but I'm not that familiar with this new Overclocking method yet. Will play a little more when I get home, at work right now just passing time and trying not to be bored...sucks when you work yourself out of work lol.
