aaa makes sense xD

Also in nvidia control should the power management mode be set to: adaptive or maximum power if i want to overclock?

I leave the control panel alone. My overclock is fine while doing this. You could try and and see if maximum makes any difference.

This is the best card I've ever owned so far.
Not a single crash for more than a month. She is eating every single game @ 1080P with 1230Mhz on the core.

Best upgrade I could have done from a 5970 !
Adios microstuttering and drivers problems for multi GPUs !

Gained about 1000 P points going from Sandy to Ivy with same overclock, 4.5GHz on both. This would constitute both the 10% cpu boost along with PCI-e 3.0.

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3330071;jsessionid=1plcvletn4gnu1dnx5wr1j1j48

And a couple scores I wrote down earlier for 3dmark vantage

2600k 4.5Ghz

CPU- 29293
GPU- 53242
Total- 44207

3770k 4.5Ghz

CPU- 31596
GPU- 55979
Total- 46925

Thanks for that update. Good info and I'm glad I made the jump from i7 950 to Ivy rather than Sandy. Tommorow night I should have enough time to build mine, Friday at the latest. thumb.gif

Now to get a dual GPU to take full advantage of that PCIe 3.0. My wallet is bleeding, the bank is broke, but I'm pretty happy. Can't wait to see if the new G.SKILL Trident X 2400 MHz RAM in XMP 1.3 is going to help boost my Physics score in 3DMark11. smile.gif

Do a little comparison for this single GPU and bring up the bench score to log in the Battle Royale. wink.gif Help out some of our brethren represent the 680's there. tongue.gif

Hey, I just realized that I am ignorant on the specifics on a certain pcie 3.0 matter.

Let me get this strait, motherboards such as mine (asrock extreme 3 gen 3) support pci express 3.0 - however they can't use it? You need an ivy bridge cpu to 'activate' pcie3? -- So when my gtx 680 arrives - I will still be running at pcie2 speeds?

Yep, need an IVY cpu for pci-e 3.0 to be active.

Also one card dosent saturate PCIe 3.0 until you have two in SLI or Crossfie (or a dual GPU) before you see benifits from more lanes. So if it's just one card it dosent matter anyway. smile.gif

By the way, final overclock is 1235MHz Core Boost and 3456MHz Memory (+350), is it below average or are they good cards?

PS: PCIe 3.0 only benefits if you use high resolutions and 3 or 4 GTX680's, for 2 and below PCIe 2.0 x16-x16 will not bottleneck them.
