So what this backplate thing is for? Does it help lowering temps or is it for aesthetics only?

It is said to lower temps by 2-3 degrees C, but I got for the aesthetics, there also good at keeping heavy/long cards straight and rigid and not bending but I doubt the 680 will have any problems as it is pretty small.

Had a tiny bit of artifact. May not be entirely stable here.

Pretty sure my i7 is holding me back in 3DMark a little bit. Still cannot get +150 stable. Temps are insanely good, hopefully voltage control that isn't overwrote by the drivers happens soon...

Thanks for this but could you reduce the memory clocks because that 580 core clock is fairly low.. you should be able to get it to 950 (or more) which hopefully gives a better comparison. I'm interested as a 580 owner smile.gif. I don't know if memory helps 680 but it barely does anything for the 580s.

Also if people are running 3DMark11 .. maybe post the GPU scores separately from the P score.

(if someone has provided this.. sorry, just started reading this thread).

Thanks. 2-3 C lower would be good. Now I'm debating if it worth $20 + ship. I don't really care about aesthetics (to a certain point of course), as my tower has no side window and it sits under the table in the darkest corner of the room. I usually get to see my video card no more than 4 times: when I put it in, then dust it twice in 4 month, and then take it out to sell on ebay biggrin.gif
