[Official] NVIDIA GTX 680 Owner's Club - Page 288

Just reporting. Using Ivy / Z77 board and no issues. Gaming no issues. Wake from sleep no issues. Driver crashes from same clocks from previous X58 set up, stable and no issues. All systems go. thumb.gif

Now using intergrated Ivy graphics. Kids taking GTX 680 in the X58.

Awaiting GTX 690 Pre-order. smile.gif

So you went up to a 690? Dang. Congrats. Looks like sli 670's is going to be the hot ticket though. I am seriously considering selling my 680 for one. Put the 100 bucks towards an ssd or something. Probably not worth the headache though.

Yeah those articles are very premature. I can tell you though performance might be close it won't be better. Still a great price perfomance card in the 670. smile.gif

Higher performance at a slightly higher premium is what's its always has come down to.

I've seen benchmarks of the 670, its close in benchmark tests like 3dmark and heaven BUT its not as close in games. Still a hell of a buy if its 399 to 430ish. I feel sorry for AMD today.

If the numbers are correct that the guy is hitting on here then its way to close in performance to be anything less than like $50 cheaper. Plus both people on this site that have 670's have gotten theirs to 1350+. Theres maybe two people on this site that have a 680 that can clock that high.

The guy who got the 3d mark 11 score with the 670 @1350 wasn't his GPU score just over 10k? My 680 @1337 is hitting 11496 GPU score and this is with old school i7... So it doesn't appear to be as bad as i first expected when i first started reading about this 670. My 3D mark 11 link is in my Sig.

The 3dmark I saw the gpu score is like 11100. Which is at or maybe even more than I got at 1240mhz on my 680. So thats pretty damn good.

I just did a run with a 4.8 2600k and the 680 boost hit 1229. Gpu score was 10591/ pscore 10462

Not that many can even go beyond 1200 on core, with 680.

Wow your physics score is so much higher than mine! lol
This was the run i was talking about, from page 29 of that 670 thread

"Core Clock +185 (gfx score 10744): http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3356922 - Boosts to about 1335 Core. Not sure how far I can push it, and how stable it is.

EDIT: computer setup is i5-750 @ 3.8ghz, gtx670, 8gb ddr3 @ 1520mhz"

His boost speed is almost the same as my 680 and he is about 750 GPU points behind my 680.

I'd say if your card can't do 1200 its below average.

And with 100mhz higher clock he is 500 points higher than me on the gpu. 3dmark seems to fluctuate a lot between rigs. But he also scored 50 points higher than me in heaven.
