Yup, so I fixed the issues. It was the memory causing the problem, and now I am sitting at 1215 on the core and 3335 on the memory, and it seems stable. Any higher though and I crash. This is really pissing me off, after spending 600 bucks on this card and a water block to go along, this guy's performance is less than that of my friend's Windforce 670 that was 200 dollars less. Is it just that the drivers are crap, or could it be that I'm just a moron?

Good to know I'm not alone in my misery! I guess all we can hope for is a driver update that will scale the 680 up to the performance it should have.

It kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well that I spent extra on a 680 and a ton of 670s are exceeding performance even when it come to ocing them both to max. At least the 680 seem to run a ton cooler at there max oc speeds? Seriously considering getting a rog mobo and take the solder iron to it to overvolt. Or if anyone know of how hard it is to hard mod the asus directcu ii since it has easy Hotwire access? I've never hard modded anything before.

Guess I got fairly lucky hitting 1270 boost and +515(might go further haven't tested for Max yet) on memory but I was hoping I get a card that putting the 670 in its place.

I got a question. If my VRAM usage in game is going around 2000MB, does that mean I'm close to hitting a VRAM wall, or does it load up more RAM than I actually need?

I am looking to get a second 680 for SLI, but I'm not sure if I should just sell this one and get two 4GB models.

Yeah, you are hitting the VRAM wall, it would appear. In what game, what resolution?

Without a doubt, sell it and get the 4GB version. On 1080p and Fallout: New Vegas(heavily modded) I was using 1900MB of VRAM. It would be safer, more future proof, and probably better if you picked up a 4GB version, IMO. Two 2GB cards will still only be able to use 2GB of memory, if I understand it correctly
