Okay huge problem and i have no idea if its my monitor or my GPU but occasionally when i turn on my pc and monitor there and colored lines all across the monitor and normally they good away when i just restart the monitor a couple of times. also any time i make a download my screen goes black and everything wigs out right when it finishes and it tells me the gpu driver has just recovered from the an issue. so it seems like it could be eather or im using a Catleap monitor

Reinstall the drivers using my guide.
If this does not work, it could be a faulty or a bad monitor.
This is easy to rule out, am sure you know how to rule it out.

If you fall below 60fps, vsync is disabled.
FXAA removes some AA on edges to make the game look better.

You mean FXAA blures some A.
Not AA.

Aliasing = Jaggies.
Anti-Aliasing = Removes jaggies.
You saying FXAA removes the removal of jaggies? biggrin.gif

Anyway FXAA is still terrible, does very little compared to 2x MSAA.

And I dont think you know how Vsync works, Vsync = falling below 60fps is possible, its very likely. However you cannot go beyond 60fps.
Without Vsync you can fall and go beyond.

I know you can't go above the refresh rate. However, technically, the GPU is going above the refresh rate. Then, the system has to deal with that, causing input lag in the process as it tries to almost removes the uneeded frames. As far the FXAA, what i mean is that it is a method to try and remove some jaggied edging as seen in games.

This MSI GTX 680 card is awesome. I have been using it for a month and so far so good. Runs quiter and cooler than my EVGA 570 SC. I think for 1080P resolution this card is really great. Next step will be OCing it. biggrin.gif

I have the same ref msi 680 and managed 1260 core (+150) and 3375 (+375) mem heaven stable, which i guess isnt too bad for a bog standard ref card.
