No real point of watercooling these things. Even in my hot room mine stayed under 70 while gaming/benchmarking. You can't even adjust the voltage so there's no extra heat.

The cost of creating a loop varies alot. IMO only cooling your gpu would be crazy but if that is what you want then ok. parts you will need are the same for a cpu loop. the big 4 to choose first would be GPU block.. this will vary based on your card. A pump.. varies quite a lot based on the style you want .. Radiator.. again based on a GPU only .a 240 should work. and a reservoir, so many options.. I like 150ML. Tubing again a massive amount of options .. and what size of tubing.. common size and what i am ordering 7/16 x 5/8. now you need fittings too to match the tubing size. and of course fans to mount on the Radiator.. Its gets pretty involved when you start to think about water cooling. And you mentioned price.. I personally have been pricing a CPU only loop and I am sitting around 500.00 us ... you could buy a CPU kit for starters to save some cash then add on another radiator and GPU block..oh yeah GPU blocks are also another choice you have to make .. Full cover or single cover... So as you can see, how much will it cost? Really can change alot based on multiple factors.. Good Luck. you could look at this List and get an idea of parts and price.

i really like it it looks better it is quite and my temps where high cause of ambient temp so this helped alot just an idea

Now that is a great solution for GPU only..Awesome idea and Low cost..

It will probably set you back 250-350 dollars. You can get an XSPC water cooling kit, and then drop another 160-170 on the GPU water block and extra radiator.

Hello guys, im getting DCII in 2 days, is there anything which i should keep in mind after installing the card?

Some tips and tricks, what drivers, what settings etc? thanks!

Also i guess it would fit in HAF 932 without problems?

The newest beta drivers work great and yes it will fit fine. Also once the card hits around 65 you may want to make a custom fan profile to ramp up and keep it under 70c so it doesn't downclock.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm not gunning for a WC loop just yet, so my decision may change. In the meantime, the Texas heat is pushing my temps close to 70C even with 80% fan speed, so I ramped it to 83% while folding. I might change the thermal paste and see if that helps with the cooling with the reference shroud.

Hey guys have a slight problem here, my EVGA Superclocked Signature 680 refuses to overclock. Even the smallest bump in GPU clock offset speed causes the driver to instantly crash when stressed, the screen to go black and to restart with all settings at default. This happens regardless of power target, with the card reporting 80% usage constant under load at default settings. I'm getting a bit upset here, is it really possible that this card can't even hit it's advertised boost clock? Even in very GPU intensive games such as BF3, the 680 will only scale to its base clock and no further. Temps are reasonable, ~70c under full load, idle at 31c. I know the 680 will scale back as temps rise past 70c, however I find it interesting that the card will never hit it's own boost clock despite showing poor frame rates in BF3 (50fps) and all settings being default. This also occours even when temps are low, such as when just starting up BF3. Temps will be around 50-55c and I will only see the card scaling up to it's base clock and no further. Attempting to break the cards base clock by even +5mhz by overclocking causes an instant driver crash under load. I am using the newest EVGA precision X (3.0.3), have the 6+8 power plugged into the card and am running a 950w PC power and cooling PSU. *** am I doing wrong!? Do I really have the worst overclocking 680 ever made?

Thanks, never used or will use auto fan settings on any card, so that part is not an issue.

i will keep in mind to install the latest drivers, heard some good things about previous ones as well, but since the latest enable MSAA for Diablo III and TXAA + some performance increase, i won't miss them i guess thumb.gif
