You still have not answered my question either so I will ask once more, if the bios flash didnt increase the voltage then where did the additional 40-50mhz on the core come from?

A new bios might be a bit like a new driver = better performance. But the controller on a 680 (i can only speak to reference ones) won't give you any actual voltage increase.

I dont care if it really increased voltage or not, I know it say's it increased voltage and I know I get more overclocking potential from BOTH my cards with the new bios, I can run them both at over 1250 now in heaven(though one still isnt stable in bf3 at that speed) where before, I couldn't run that card at anything over 1220 or it would black screen and crash within minutes. So if it's not increasing the voltage, it's sure as hell doing something.

When stating something far out like that of the norm it comes with screen shots to back it up.

My Air flow i even tried San Ace R11s full blast on the side door..

nice build, but your power supply is definitely overkill.

If not, reflash.

It does indeed downclock. smile.gif

Ah that makes me feel much better. I wasn't aware of that about the bio's. Now I feel better about the whole thing. lol

not the first system this psu u was in... before it was a tri sli 480s system.

I always go big on the psu less strain on a psu = longer life.

I never said my GPU runs cooler than everybody elses in the world, nice way to put words in my mouth jerk. I merely reported what my temps are, I have no idea how they compare to others and dont really care either. Not so sure why your all butthurt over someone elses results unless as its as I said before your jealous which is pathetic on your part.

Dont know if that pic will be to small or not, if it is I can try again. I dont host photos very often and am new to it.

55c and it has yet to get any higher than that after a few hours of BF3.

Of course it increased the voltage, you cannot just simply add another 40-50mhz to the core without bumping up the voltage.

A new bios isnt gonna add 40-50mhz to the core without a voltage adjustment, your reasoning fails and you still cannot answer the question. I cannot wait for others who have performed this flash to chime in and tell you how wrong you are.

Use a volt meter. Your voltage most likely didn't change with the bios.

Yeah your right, the 50mhz core increase is from the magic pixy dust which I sprinkled all over my GPU.

:gotproof.

If one cannot sense the sarcasm and arrogant attitude of that post then they must be dead. A simple "hey man, could you post a screen of your temps?" would suffice.
