It is common respect..

Well thats great and neither would I if you had simply asked. But that isnt what you did no matter how many ways you try to put your own spin on it.

You should take your Circus act over to AnAndtech and see how long you last..

Yep bogus claims with screen shots to back myself up while you do nothing but run off at the mouth. How long I have been here is besides the point.

You and that other guy who was running his mouth about the whole vcore thing have both been proven wrong in every thing that you stated about me. He tucked tail and ran a long time ago, its time you do the same. thumb.gif

there is a whole thread about your bios over on AnAndtech if you want to learn about it go over there and read it...

There is a reason why Nvidia Volt locked these cards it because they cant take it...

Only the cards made more extreme built cards can...

This is not my post just a copy paste from a well known respected member.. who really knows his stuff..

You might want to visit this thread before you go wild on GTX680 overclocking, especially if you plan on overvolting. I remember people were all excited flashing HD6950 2GB cards with actual HD6970 BIOS and then memory on the 6950 2GB cards would die in 2-3 months from a mere +0.1V bump (from stock 1.0V). NV might know something we don't. I've never seen them being this strict on GPU overclocking and I've been following GPUs since at least GeForce 2/Radeon 7000 days.

Trying to attain 50mhz extra on a card that's already clocked at 1200mhz is honestly the biggest waste of time for most people, considering there may be risks involved based on everything that NV is doing. You'll never feel that in games since the GPU won't scale linearly with that 4% GPU increase due to memory bandwidth bottleneck in the 670/680 series. If the game is unplayable on a 1200mhz, it'll be 100% unplayable on a 1250mhz 680 as well. Cards such as MSI Lightning 680 and so on have seriously upgraded components and PCB compared to reference 670/680 cards.

Already read it and not interested as the info is incorrect. The bios does increase voltage and there is now another thread floating around in this forum from others who are reporting the same and getting the same additional 50mhz core increase.

Seriously, save yourself some face and leave because you are wrong, on both counts. LOL.

.

I guess NV is strict about overvolting because GK104 was meant to be a mid-range card and they pushed it already way too high to keep up with the competition.
If it was as they were planned " GTX 660" it will have much lower clock than 1006 MHz and 6008 MHz memory.
They did't want to make the same mistake they did with GTX 480 late release, and just pushed memory/core further on that chip to keep up with HD7900 series.

Is running with 301.42 still the recommended driver. Or is there a beta out there. In starcraft 2 i'm getting never more than around 60% gpu usage with all settings on ultra at 1080p. Someone told me it might be a driver issue.
