Yes, they do, but only use the 4 screws around the gpu, not the lot of screws that the vanilla's use (and you don't need anything beyond a regular screwdriver to put it on, either). My friend had the same question, and ordered one himself to find out. Since I saw it was only for looks, and basically did nothing to make the card more sturdy, as I was lead to believe, I have no need for one until I get more money than I know what to do with (as my current rig is not a looker).

I mean come on, that is arguably the best 680 card out period.(Only competition imo is the Galaxy SOC White Edition)
And the 680 lighting is $579, it's cooler, comes with that game and is has unlocked voltage.
The SOC White Edition is also a great choice, all the features and is cheaper.

I would ask you please reconsider your $600 overpriced payment. But never the less if you choose to keep the card, it is a still a good card thumb.gif
I hear that the 680 lightnings are vlotage locked now, though. Is that not correct? He was also wanting a 4GB card, so those don't help him out, really.

That SOC White edition is beast. I wish I had seen that, though I am plenty happy with my choice. I think 1250 boost is about all I can get. The Memory started out higher than others & I got it to 3500, but stopped there. Not sure that I'd have had the extra change to get the Galaxy, anyway. It will be lot easier for me to get the Sig 2 when I go to get another for SLI, I'm thinking.

You mean this card?

I gots me one of those... biggrin.gif

Anywho the new Lightings are voltage locked but u can flash them back to the lightings release bios which once again unlocked voltage control.

You can also flash this bios onto the Galaxy SoC Hall of Fame and unlock voltage aswell.

Also his sig rig states he has a 1080i monitor and a 4gb card is a complete waste for a single 1080i monitor.

Bought 3 GTX 680 4 GB cards last week and installed them in my new rig. The fourth came in tonight and added 1100 points to my 3DMark11 P score (before doing any overclocking)

i will be ording the first of three gtx680 cards tomorrow. after thinking about it more and more i finally made my choice and it is going to be this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130799

the main reason that i am getting that instead of any of the other 4gb versions is because i could water cool it in the future with a full coverage block. i know that it probably wont overclock as much as a classi or ftw+ but it will be really quiet under water. next month i will order the second one and the third one my girl will get for my birthday on december. oh and i went with the 4gb version because i run 5760x1080 resolution.
