Hi King Who Dat
My drivers are Forceware 306.23
As my screenshot shows, both GPU'S are clocking at 1110Mhz and are well below 80'c
I did overclock my CPU 3.2Ghz just for this test, but the Task Manager is showing 35% usage?
If the CPU is the bottleneck shouldn't the Task Manager be showing 100% as it tries to feed the GPU with co-ordinates?
I'm not going to play about too much with overclocking on this CPU coz I'm upgrading to FX8350 as soon as its released on 23 Oct.

I'll fill-out the rig-builder later, Off to work now...

Thanks for your advice !!!

At 1205(1215 boost) core and 7000 memory. Wondering if I should lower memory a bit and increase core. Heard these cards see gains from increasing memory clock more than core, is this correct for the GTX 680? I think I am noticing an advantage in overclocking memory clocks than core.

so i got a quick question(s) about the msi 680 lightning, so ive had this car for a little bit now and everything works fine but i had a question regarding overclocking safety, so much should i consider overclocking the card on air cooling where its safe and would actually benefit, secondly i'm using a 750 CM PSU im assuming that it is more than plenty to power the rig without problem. i know-the last part is silly to ask and with out saying what all else is in the rig its hard to say but trying to learn from people that know. thanks again.

I'm a happy, soon-to-be, owner of an EVGA Superclocked Signature 2 GTX 680. I just have to wait over the too-long-for-a-change weekend and then for my two-more-day shipping.

It was the card I've had my eye on and the EVGA price drop came at a perfect time for me.

This will be my first high-end card.

Im kicking myself over the price drop. My first one i bought from amazon was $519 minus the $50 for the amazon visa. The second one I got was $499 minus $50 from the amazon visa, $20 amazon promotional discount and another $20 EVGA mail in rebate. ($413)

If i would have used all those discounts now, I would have paid $399.99 each for a total of $799.99 instead of $882.mad.gif

Your average still beats my final price after rebate. And you've been enjoying them already. smile.gif

What is killing me is that I can oc my Asus 680 to the following

Almost every time the driver crashes.

So since these cards dynamically boost themselves in game, would it degrade them to run the power slider maxed at all times ? Or am I totally wrong here ? I'm still learning.

I leave the voltage alone. It'll adjust itself when more voltage is required and will idle down 0.98v. Less degradation & more importantly cooler running idle. When I 'fixed' it to 1.175v I did not see it improve stability when I was maxed over clocked. I never have any problems reaching 1.175v when Core is maxed while gaming and Power Target is a moderate +120%.
