After thinking long about what do to i have decided to buy 2x MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr cards with 4GB VRAM i will probably buy one MSI card then sell my Asus and then buy a second MSI card the reson for doing in that way is i dont have a lot of money so i need time to save up.
Anyway does anyone have anything to say about the MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr cards good or bad?
Thanks
Seravee

My guess is that if the MSI card is a reference card, you will have no issues. A quick google image comparison between "evga 680 pcb" and "msi 680 pcb" show the same screw pattern for the backplate.

Also check HERE for some cool custom backplates =)

EDIT: read above more, realized you were asking about Twin Frozr models from MSI. Either way the PCB screw mounts on those look the same via google images as well. this article states it uses the reference MSI PCB, which seems to match the evga reference PCB.

Just ordered an SC Signature 2048mb from Amazon for a cool 429.99 BEFORE 20.00 rebate. Heck of a deal if you ask me.

Great price at $419 for a EVGA Signature GTX 680 where they normally sell for $470. Perhaps a sign of price drops incoming. smile.gif

So I just received my new system (I say system not rig as it's prebuilt) about 2 days ago.

System is as follows:

HP H9 1340T Phoenix

GTX680 2GB NVIDIA Reference (Air Cooled)
i7-3770K 3.5ghz-3.9
16GB RAM
128GB SAMSUNG 830 SSD
2TB WD HDD
TV Tuner
Blu-Ray
WaterCooled (surprisingly decent)
600W PSU
Beats audio card (Eh Beats.. Still)
MoBo: Z75 IPMMB-FM (Formosa)
Windows 8 x64

I got it on sale for ~$1450 USD.

Sadly the system only has 1 PCI-E Gen 3 x16 slot but that will do as it's mostly intended as a multimedia/gaming machine for my TV. When I upgrade the card it will either go to the GTX 690 (assuming they are old and have dropped in price) or to a high end of the next card revision (assuming it's x16 3.0 based which they should be.

For anyone wondering why I didn't build the price here was actually good for the parts (Card + CPU alone would be $800 then chassis, RAM, board, fans, pump/radiator, tv tuner, PSU, 2tb drive) So I could have built it but to top that I build servers for a living and I didn't feel like building another computer aha.

Anyone have any tips on overclocking for 680? Specific drivers, max voltages, etc. It runs great right now but I always enjoy pushing things to the limit smile.gif.
