Finally scored one at Newegg wheee.gif... Thanks to Golden Tiger who told me about the check4change Firefox plug-in. It looks like they keep going in and out of stock throughout the day.

ughhhhhhhhh need more people to post their temps and fan speed settings before i decide if it's goiong back to evga.
I cannot stand anything over 70% fan speed on this card and cannot get the temps to stay in the 6/7s unless it's @ 85%

I've got my setup like this

power 132%
Clock +170
Mem +400

I made a custom fanspeed map and @ full load and 60% fan speed I see max temps of 67c.

Keep in mind they added much better sound reduction to these cards. My GTX 470's where 3-5 times louder then my 680. At 60% fanspeed I hardly even notice it over my 2 200mm case fans.

It's both. You can leave it on "auto" And it has a default profile. Or in the fan control tab you can enable to Fan curve option for auto setting. Meaning if you enable fan curve you can adjust how the "auto" function will manage fan speed based of current temps.
