You using adaptive v-sync set in the NVCP and have it off in the in-game settings?

And from the one post by someone a few pages ago, I set the global settings to enable FXAA. Just noticed it's greyed out for specifically BF3 though. But haven't I seen a comparisson somewhere of a BF3 in-game pic with FXAA on and off? I don't know, I'll have to find it. But it was smoothest/least tearing with Adaptive V-Sync enabled for me. Framerate Target in Precision was great when set at 100, but there was still tearing. AVS kept it at 120fps and there was no tearing or lag. It was great.

If you suspect an issue, reseat the stock cooler and put some MX4 on it or what ever you have available. I don't think it voids the warranty for EVGA cards.

I haven't touched settings in the NVCP for adaptive Vsync or anything. I get this behavior with both regular V-Sync enabled in-game and when in game is disabled and using D3DOverrider for triple buffering and Vsync. I tried to set a FPS target of 60fps in Precision but I got a lot of tearing and still strange dips to 55 for a few seconds. Even when the game hits 59fps it seems sluggish for a brief moment. I may give adaptive VSync a try.

Anyone with 2 cards and a 750w power supply, is it enough for both cards overclocked and an overclocked processor?

Hottest temperature was 69ºC with 1ºC = 1% fan profile.

That's a pretty good jump in performance, and I think I could still go higher on memory and maybe a bit more on Core. thumb.gif

You might see a 5C increase on your CPU temps, but the change for your GPU temps will be more drastic. Especially if you have a side panel intake fan right on it.

Hi...to compare....This is with my 24/7 computer:

SLI 590@670/1810@0.938v, WS RAMPAGE, 2500k@4.9Ghz, 16GB GEIL DRAGON, M4 128GB...

Regards...Hi Kcuestag !!!, nice to meet you....

EDIT:

I think Nvidia has a very good job with the GTX 680´s...the performance are one little step with de gtx 590....but the 680 has 2GB of VRAM...and
produce less heat and needs less power ;-P

I must say that my GTX 590 cost me around 450€ (2nd hand) and I´m very, very happy with them....

On the other hand,I don´t like on the 680´s the "turbo boost" and OCP...because limiting (for the moment) the OC depending of his temperature....

P.D.: I can benchmarking with my 590 at 0.963V@ 720Mhz and my 2500k at 5.1-5.3Ghz but I´d post the settings that I used in my hours of gaming...and my OC´s are solid stable.

Thank you, and sorry for my english I´m a spanish boy.

If I get 5c to 10c lower temps ill go from the 70s to the 60s..RIGHT??
WRONG I need to set my fan manual at 75-85% to achieve those temps...
Just an excuse to mask up a problem which is only affecting me and or others aswell..
Everyone says their not topping 60-65c with their fan on AUTO or 30-65% so I have a problem...
I will set to exhaust but the noise will not go away I appreciate the comments but your down playing my situation....

It is almost on par with GTX590 and HD6990, it is really impressive what Nvidia has achieved with the GTX680. biggrin.gif
