You can do this, I did it with my 680 with a antec Kuhler 920. Problem is you need to buy a copper shim as the core is recessed below the heat plate. From what I measured it needs to be 2mm. The 1mm shims are all over the place 2m was a tad harder to find. I got mine here.

Core is higher than the shim on at least 4 of the 680's that I've water blocked for myself for friends... 7900's are lower, 600's are just slightly higher. No shims necessary.

Voltage mod on my DC II 680 is easily the fastest mod I've ever done. For anyone who is interested, I'll post up the quick and easy info tomorrow most likely. Rampage boards not needed

You can do this, I did it with my 680 with a antec Kuhler 920. Problem is you need to buy a copper shim as the core is recessed below the heat plate. From what I measured it needs to be 2mm. The 1mm shims are all over the place 2m was a tad harder to find. I got mine here.
