Any way to disable the turbo? And can I really be that unclucky, that my card crashes at +95Mhz (Allowing me to only OC +85Mhz on forced 1.175? frown.gif

Thats the problem, you think ur forcing 1.175, but the card drops the voltages when it clocks itself lower or higher depending on the loads. So far changinf v isnt nessesary, just raise the tdp limit and oc based on that.

Try it for all of us, see if u up the tdp with voltage change and no voltage change, affects ur oc results.

Without a hard mod you cnt disable turbo boost, there are 3 resistors(sensors) that needs to be bypassed. You have to cool ur gpu as much as u can to see if u get more oc. Changing v will do nothing, you cant disable turbo boost, and u cant change the tdp limit over 132 frown.gif.

Non-reference designs will do that.

You can force the voltage via eVGA Precision X, and I have upped the TDP to +132% + I have a very agressive fan profile keeping my card under 70C while in-game. I guess I just got the worst card ever. Sigh.

I know u can change the volt is evga, but it will NOT be forced all the time.

EVGAJacob said it himself, no current card can let us change or force volt yet sine nvidia is using a non ic v regulator.

Unless MSI ABs sensor is not working, it is forced on 1.175v

Looking forward to the non-reference cards which may (hopefully) allow for true voltage tweaking. Until they do I can't really recommend the 680 to anybody who likes to overclock (especially when the 7970 is such a great overclocker)...

That is the way I feel about it basically. With the current pricing trends, I will not give either company my money. They can do without until they come down some. Both companies are gouging and probably working in tandem to do so.
