I nailed my EVGA GTX 680 for $499 for comparable performance. Price / Performance right now is 680 over 7970. Even if it wasn't I would have purchased it and not looked back.

im not butt hurt. lol and havent bashed a thing, and i own 3 7970s.coming from 6970s to me it was worth selling them and getting 7970s. but i do see amd fans getting upset, but for what i dont know. without competition prices would be outrageous .

i like performance at good prices and glad to see nvidia step up and raise the bar for better performance at cheaper prices.

compare a factory overclocked amd 7970 to a stock nvidia gtx 680? of course its an amd win....barely lol

CPU speed is 3.3 with amd, 3.2 with nvida. show me a stock 7970 vs a stock 680 on the same test bench as an amd win....wait, right you cant.

compare 680 lightning to 7970 lightning and you shall see amd fail there as well.

this isnt fanboi-ism, its apparent fact.
frankly I am getting tired of the amd trollers...
I mean the 7970 is still a great card, just that Nvidia beat it and for cheaper too, its a win for all.

That's a 680 connected to this... http://www.techpowerup.com/159347/EVGA-Offers-Overclockers-the-$100-EPower-Board.html That is 5 Vrm on the 680 plus 10+3DigiVrm on the EPower.
