On LN2 yes, but not for the 1.4ghz air OC. Seems like the ref power phases are a bit lacking. A good non ref design should take care of that.

I am really a fan of Nvidia, i mean, i had 3 580 Lightning Extremes at one point, but i was expecting more from the 680, maybe Nvidia has a more powerful single core chip up its sleeve. At least i hope so, weird to see the 680 and the 7970 at such close performance levels, but then again this is great for consumers.

You must not have been playing skyrim around release on AMD cards, lol. It was pathetic they either had negative crossfire scaling or terrible flickering everywhere. Every release was a supposed fix that just messed something up elsewhere. Don't get me started on the flickering and corrupt cursor graphics in dual monitor setups while your video cards were overclocked in several different card generations. When the 7xx series comes out I'm going back nvidia and sticking around, AMD's drivers are better than they used to be but that's not saying much.

Yeap, I'm sure Asus and MSI will pick up the slack.

GOD AAAAAH

I want one so bad

But I just -know- waiting for the revision / 780 will be worth it.

For as AMAZING AS THESE CARDS ARE...it can ONLY get better.

And I am surely getting EVGA again.

My 280 died and they sent me a 470. I decided right then to always go EVGA unless some incredible deal came up.

My 470 has been 99%'ing in a few games as of late, but other wise, still fine!

I must hold out!

780!

GTX680 FTW! biggrin.gif

I think the GTX680 should be in the PS4 & Xbox 720.

I mean then they could easily push amazing graphics on consoles. It's low power, powerful, price is iffy, I get that, but yeah..

I mean they plan to use a 6950 for the Xbox 720 I hear, which is kinda disappointing as it wasn't even that good when it came out, but it's getting really cheap.

Consoles are design to be cheap, but man...

For some reason, I really believe a 680 would be the perfect console GPU.

I can't wait to see the non-reference models of this card; such as the DCUII and the Twin Frozer/Lighting. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a much higher power phase count and plenty of room for overclocking. ASUS and MSI have proven themselves in the past for overclocking high on Air and that is what I care most about right now. (Don't have enough money for a water loop right now) sadsmiley.gif
Also, same for the benchies, I'd like to see some comparisons of a non reference 680 Lightning to a 7970 lightning at max possible overclocks. That's when I'll choose, because that is when we see maximum capability. (on air)
