^^^looks like a rushed photoshop edit to me. don't see why they cant unstack the power connectors to make it single slot. or why not occupy that unused 3rd slot for extra OC power.

really hope they take the msi path and make a true nonreference performance card

It was the benches available for BF3 at different resolutions, as I ALREADY STATED, which is also one of the core reasons people wants this card.

Why does the public have to wait 2 months for 4GB cards?

Why can't these be available upon release? (Even if there is a premium..) it really sucks, to have half of a build just waiting for someone to take my money and deliver a premium product..!

Absolutely incorrect. The 7970 still beats the 680 when OC'd to the max. Not to mention the preliminary Crossfire vs SLI results show the 7970s pulling ahead. Quit with the Nvidia Bias and read a few more reviews. AMD does not need to drop to $450... they could easily drop to $499 and the extra VRAM alone would carry their sales. Some of you forget that the 680 has 1GB less memory in which some people here could make use of.

Low supplies on the AMD side? No. Nvidia side? Yes.

Where did you hear that AMD had low supply? lol, perhaps because they've been selling like hotcakes lately?

They've been more than able to meet demand for their product. Nvidia is playing catch up right now, and many 7970 owners are not going to switch to 680s with such a paltry performance shown by the 680 that can easily be squashed with a simple OC.

I'm trying to jump on used 7970's in the market place. There's a bloody 13% sales tax in Canada so if I can get a 7970 used for $450+, it would be a steal for me.
