that is not barely to me either...

People posting those annoys me, its uses FXAA and nVidias is faster than AMDs, also the 7970 sucks at BF3

BF3 is a nvidia optimized game, its a known fact. So people need to get over using bf3 as an overall benchmark.

I'd say no more than $550. And I heard the 680 might get even cheaper, so we might see less biggrin.gif but if prices stay the same, I can't see this being more than $550.

I'm not sure if anyone has poster about this already, but GPU-Z has an new feature which lets you check the ASIC quality of your chip. and apparently with water/DICE/LN2, a chip that has leaky silicon is much better than a less leaky silicon. So unless EVGA purposefully picks out the lower ASIC chips for their hydro copper cards and high ASIC for classified cards, it should still be a crap shoot for overclocking.

BF3 is an extremely popular game. Graphics performance in this game is highly relevant. nVidia invests more heavily in ensuring games run well on their cards, that is a competitive advantage and something that cannot be ignored.

Completely agree on this. In fact the main reason I'm going for Nvidia and not AMD is because Nvidia performs a lot better on Battlefield 3, which is probably the most popular Multiplayer game right now, and it's the only game I have really been playing seriously since last October, and I will probably play it for at least another year or two. thumb.gif

Making excuses just because Nvidia did a better optimization with that game doesn't justify the fact that Nvidia destroy AMD cards in that game, just it may just be in that game, but that game for people like me is VERY important. biggrin.gif

Also I doubt we'll see any new GTX680 models until at least May or June, as JacobF at EVGA said no more versions of GTX680 would come out for at least another couple of months. thumb.gif

Why should I care If Battlefield 3 is nVidia title or not ? I want to play it, so I'll get the card which will provide me more fps.
