G.Skill Sniper running at 11-11-11-28???? - Page 3

Lol it's far too addicting. I spent a few hours doing this last night. You can post your results for the overclockers.net HWBot page.

I don't know of much of a scheme, there's a description in my BIOS next to each timing and I've been going with that and making sense of it as I go. Trial and error =) The only thing I haven't understood is the DRAM Refresh Interval. I can boot with higher and lower values but they aren't as quick as stock here.

If you're close to stability but teetering on the edge you can use command mode 2 (T2). My understanding is that this means the RAM can only accept commands every other processor cycle.
All of the timings are based on processor cycles.

Oh I believe the "addicting" part. I used to spend hours staring at Prime95 waiting for those BSODs haha.

It looks like this is something I'm just gonna have to keep screwing with myself until I find a happy stable point. Which I'm very much willing to do. Just need the time (I work 80 some hours a week) =/

Ooops ! i was too late for the show tongue.gif
Sorry for that , but good to see that you got rid of BSOD's.

Now from my side : If you really want to improve the performance a bit further on your RAM, it gonna be a PITA buddy. And don't mess with any other timings other than the CL-trCD-tRP-Tras & CR. Modifying other than these values would only result in worst performance in most of the cases.

You can try increasing the RAM clock frequency further by putting the command rate value to 2T. But you might hit a bit on the performance side though.

You can fine tune the RAM by different RAM drive strength settings as well. But i must tell you that its a long way process that some times it may take days to complete the process. You should try different parameters on the drive strength until the errors are reduced with the Memtest86+ standard error testing.
