I keep it at 4.0Ghz 24/7 and there's never a full core in any game. But we'll see with the 680's. Need a new cooler to start using 4.6Ghz more/longer
nh d14 hands DOWN!!
I've been using it for a week now, and my brains are exploding due to it's performance!!!
It won't kick in until you Overclock. I did benches with stock settings and OC on CM gemenii S and noctua. In stock speeds the difference in load was 2-3C, so not much. In OC load, the temps were 10-12C different. So once you OC, you WILL see a significant difference. If you are going to just use stock settings, dont bother, but the 2500k is a beast at OC, so go for it.
Now I never used the H100, but I heard the fans get stupid loud, and the noctau ones are rated at 19Dba at full
Also think about room, if you love to have your case tidey and small, go with corsair, because the noctua will remove all the free space.NOTE:
The noctua will cover your RAM, if the fan is on that side, even the heatsink will go over the first two slots. So if you don't have LP memory, bad luck.
