Mice are extremely, extremely person dependent. The best thing you can do is head to a local electronics store and play with the mice, see what fits your hand most comfortably. Also, bother some friends about what mouse they use and try them out too if they let you.

I've used the Razer Mamba 1st gen, the 2012 edition (2nd gen), the Logitech G7, and the Logitech Performance MX. I'm sticking with the Performance MX.

It's the most comfortable mouse of the bunch (tested over time of course), has a scroll wheel that can just be spun like crazy for fun, and the battery life is actually quite impressive. It also "games" perfectly without issue. In BF3 for example my K/D ratio, helpfulness, reviving etc didn't change because I changed mice.

Recommending a mouse is difficult to say the least...

For what it's worth, you also have options like the RAT 9.

If you like the logitech MX then go with G700. It is very similar to MX.

However, the battery drains relatively fast (if you are using gaming mode, i.e., high polling rate and sensor dpi) - approx 20h of use or so. But as it uses rechargeable AA then its relatively easy to just get yourself extra set of eneloops and just switch out the battery if one is starting to run low. Or plug in an USB to mini-USB charging cable (get some aftermarket one which is thinner than the one in the box, the one in the box is sleeved an all but in my opinion a bit on the thick side for a mouse wire).

I got myself G700 few days ago after Microsoft X8 and Logitech G500. Took me about a day to get used to the extra buttons (I use palm grip) but after I got used to them I like it more than I did G500 or X8 (not as much as I loved G5 though, bcos of the rubberized coating).

i suggest going with logitech g700. really comfortable and provides decent performance in gaming. i use it for quake and starcraft 2. the only downside is that the software that comes with it is horrible but if you do not really do heavy button reconfiguration, then you are ok.

I'm using a MX518 as my wired mouse right now and love it besides it could be just a wee bit heavier. The two wireless mice I've used for alot of gaming are the MS sidewinder and the Razer Mamba, I thought they were both comfortable as hell, but the Sidewinder has really bad range and really bad software. Go with a mamba or a Logitech wireless mouse, you already know about how the G700 will feel and setpoint hasn't changed much
