Sony Exec Says Wii and XBOX 360 are Priced Too High - Page 6

Actually, I have to say, the problem with the PS3 is that all it is really, is a highly restricted computer. It does only the things computers can do well.. better if you have the money. Not to mention you can upgrade computers.. The Wii on the other hand, has it's amazing new controller for all its games which as of yet we don't have for computers, therefore it is worth getting. Personally I would not get a PS3 if it was $100 because it is just a lesser version of a good computer.

I don't think it will be any different with the PS3. I think people are *****ing about the price, but once you get a hold of the latest Gran Turismo and the graphics blow you a new hole, than I think the majority of people who are bashing Sony will end up having the console in their own homes.
The guy has a point. The people who made comments to the article on that page (look at the first few posts), are right. The PS3 is worth a hell of a lot more per dollar than the other two consoles. The PS3 has loads of connectors for connecting everything but the kitchen sink, its backed by one of the most powerful software developers, the makers of the Gran Turismo series, and the Playstation line of consoles has always had consistently better games than its competitors. All the fluff of the ****-ups, the silly little rumors going around that the PS3 is facing trouble, are just rumors, and probably 1% correct.

Something is only worth what one can use it for. A gold plated tooth brush might cost $1500, but is it "worth" it?

I don't want to hook my printer into my PS3....I have a computer for that, several in fact. I want a console to play console games.......and I want my automotive simulator to simulate real cars, including damage and reduced performance from damage. The makers of GT have been promising that on the last 3 releases of GT.....none have had it, and each time they claim it is due to the inability to get licensing from the car companies for it.....which was a good excuse....until all the other automotive simulators started incorperating real cars with real damage.........

If I had $600 to spend on electronic enterntainment I'd spend it on Conroe. If I had to spend it on a console I'd get a 360.

Sorry but Xbox's are just built better from the ground up as far as features go. Sony has just been hobbled together crap since the ps2. Why do I need 5 different online providers charging me $10 a piece each month for 5 different games when I can pay $50 and get Live for a year? Same thing with the latest Xfire integration i've been reading about. Not one single game is built the same way and some don't support it.

Xbox may not have a lot of games compared to the ps2 but, like 60% of the ps2 games I've played were crap.

OH ya? they've lived up to their name?

Looks to me like they've made 2 consoles so far....

Not exactly a "name" in the gaming business after 2 consoles...

They're good, I won't like...but PS3 is looking like poop more and more every day.
