[No Bug - Hotmail issue] Subscription emails are seen as suspicious by hotmail's mail filter

Yeah, also noticed this from PM notifications. It doesn't happen for all users though, but it's always the same ones (can provide a list if needed).

If you could list that, it would be great.  Maybe it's a keyword in the names that seems suspicious to their software?  Honestly I'm not sure what we can do on this point since we have no control over what Hotmail flags or why.  I'm not a Hotmail user, but maybe putting the From addresses we use for subs and notifications into your trusted addresses/contacts would help?  Just a thought.

It's gotten worse since the bug was originally posted. At the time, certain users weren't giving the error (PMs from Chipp, juano and sweffymo for some examples) wouldn't give the error, while many others would. However, all emails give it now, without fail.

It started last update for certain; I don't see anything in the release notes affecting emails, but the change to the system's tolerance of JS failures has caused a few other minor things... is it possible it's related to that?

Sorry but the obvious stuff has to be suggested.  I see the Hotmail staff aren't exactly being helpful...sounds like the issue is on their end in this case.  If you've trusted the sender, it should not be filtering at all.  That said, I'll see if anyone here has a better idea since it's odd that it seems to be OCN-specific.

I doubt it, but either way we're probably not likely to change the entire layout because one email provider erroneously sees it as suspicious.  I had people here take a look at this and verified that we have made no changes at all on our end in the last couple of weeks and that this must be an issue with Hotmail.  I hope they eventually give you some good feedback as to why their Safe Senders is nonfunctional, but there isn't anything we can really do on our end, unfortunately.  If you hear anything further from them, let me know.
