Thread Starter
Hey I was wandering if I should sell my GTX 470 that i have right and get a GTX 680 or if I should get 1 other GTX 470 cards and run them in SLI. I want to run eyefinity at one point so what should I do? I play games like Crysis, Battlefield 3 ect...

Single 680. Less power usage, less heat.

faster, better arch

Overclocked 470s will barely edge out an 590 in some benchmarks, but the 680 alone beats the 590 at stock, and the gap will only widen with overclocking.

Its finally time for 4xx SLI owners to upgrade.

Ok, heat/power aside, strictly (raw) power, 480 SLi or 680?

1 is always better then 2 if performance is close. In this case, 1 is newer tech. So definitely go with the 1 GTX 680.

In this case the 480 SLI would be faster ... but you cant only consider raw power ... there are issues with multiple GPU's with some games and of course heat, power draw ...

To be honest, something at little as a 470 is fine for everything.

As long as we keep getting console ports, theres honestly no reason to buy 500 dollar card.

GTX 480 for raw power and watercooling is pure sweetness.

unless you absolutely need to upgrade then sure why not but if not stick with the 470 and SLI

single card then SLI then UPGRADE its a ladder all the time.
