I'm also bumping to see the most RECENT results. I'm thinking of buying four of these cards, overclocking them, and putting them all underwater. Problem is, I've bant een hearing in quite a few reviews that the newer XFX black edition revisions have locked VDDC's. I only want to buy from XFX (for my own reasons) and that sort of would put a damper on things.

With the voltage for the memory you cant get your core up higher? So it's basically just .35v for a higher mem clock.

1274/1823 is the most I can get from mine with the max vcore in Afterburner/Trixx of 1.3vcore (1.28v read in HWiNFO). It's a reference Asus that was bought on release that I now have an EK block on. Runs around 45C.

Anyway, I've seen some peeps with access to 1.35vcore. Does anyone here know if there's a BIOS that will give me access to higher vcore on my reference card? smile.gif

Edit, found the modded Trixx that is supposed to allow higher vcore but I still get artifacts over 1275Mhz. frown.gif

Old thread but the 7970 lives on!

1250/1725 1.3 max temp 55c with one 240mm rad cooling 2 7970's and a 2700k @ 5ghz.

I'm good here, BF4 1080 Ultra= 55-60 fps on a single card ~ Buttery smooth lol thumb.gif
