No offence but why did you pick up 2 7870's for the price you could have got 1 7970 or 680 and got just about the same performance for cheaper and no crossfire/heat issues =s. 7870 is for someone that can't afford top tier from the get go so gets a 7870 and can grab another 7870 later and crossfire for top tier performance but someone with your kind of money could have got a 7970/680 now then a another in crossfire/sli. So less heat no crossfire issues, cheaper and more upgrade option =s.

a 7870 OC'd performs close to a 7950 or 7970.

2 7870's OC'D will beat a 7970/680 OC'd

That looks really nice I must say. I think that having 2 cards looks better than having 1. What are your temps like idle / load ?

Oh I was't aware they could pull of an oc like that, very nice cards their still a tad expensive atm imo. But not just them all 7 series is very overpriced. Tho gratz on the cards always love the twin forz editions <3

The heat or lack of heat I should say is why I chose to run crossfire with the 7800's, that and these Msi coolers. With two cards my idle is 28-30 and on load with two 60-65 depending on what I am doing sometimes they stay in the high 50's biggrin.gif

I have had the 5870's the 6970's the 5990's and this time I wanted to go a different route with my cards, that is why I choose 2 7800's. Yes a bit overpriced, but it does beat the 6970 Lightning it replaced with just one and a lot less power and heat
I was able to take out 4 fans and still lower the heat overall in my case plus lower noise. I had to run the 6970 at 50% fan all times to keep an 38-40 idle, although the load temps were always great.

The efficiency of these new generation cards is crazy. Your xfire setup runs cooler than my single 6950 lol.

It runs cooler than my other system with a single 6850 in it...... tongue.gif
They do run pretty cool and I think the 7800's is the coolest of them all in all.
