A good and affordable 1 over 3 monitor stand

Thread Starter
I currently have 3 desk clamp mounts for my triple monitor setup. I would rather have a stand, just because I like them more and I am getting a bigger desk and a stand will look nicer.

I was looking at this stand, mainly because it is cheap and affordable
But it looks like the monitors are not angled enough and might cause problems for gaming.

I would prefer one that has angles more like this one
But I would rather not pay that much for a stand. Maybe $250 at the maximum. I would prefer something in the $150-$200 range.

So if you can find a decent stand that has good angles, that would be great! I would prefer a stand with a single rail supporting all the monitors rather than each monitor having their own arm.

Thanks in advance! thumb.gif

I have this one, I love it. I know some members here made their own. I've seen some with the same one I do.

I know monoprice has a few, but not sure if they have a multi-stand or just single ones.

The only thing about the $100 stand is the base. My ergotech stand is sturdy as can be.

The ergo stand side arms can be moved to a wide array of angles. The only small problem I've noticed is while setting the monitors in portrait. I haven't perfected that out yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just have a few questions:
  • Are you saying the arm angles are adjustable?
  • What problems have you had with it in portrait?
  • How far away do you sit from your screens?

Thanks again! smile.gif

I guess this is a good area for me to add a few of my own questions ...

I have a 30 inch dell as a main monitor and two 24 inch dells as a side monitor

the way they are now - the 24's are on a double stand on the side and the main monitor is on a single arm ... that arm i do not want to change ...

What is a best solution to get my 24's one on each side ... most of these triple screen solutions cannot hold my 30 inch - maybe the best way would be to get two single arms?

well I just ordered two single arms hahaha - i guess I dont need an answer anymore ... maybe a different question ...

Is it possible to setup a surround 3 monitor look if my middle monitor is 30 and sides are 24 where it actually matches in resolution and the overall look?

This should do. Your monitors are 23" right?

only issue with that stand is that it wont support my monitors in landscape mode, they are 23" screen size, with the bezels removed they are still 21" wide.

Looks like i might get this one, I think the arms are adjustable so I can adjust the angles as well.

Sorry for bringing up my old thread, but with the new 680s out, they have support for surround +1, so I think i am looking at a 1 over 3 monitor stand now. I would prefer it to be as close to $250 as possible and the only one I have found so far has been $350
http://www.ergolcd.com/Ergotech-100-D28-B13-Triple-Desk-Stand.html?gdftrk=gdfV23315_a_7c1148_a_7c3560_a_7c100_d_D28_d_B13

Any alternatives? or am I stuck with that expensive stand?

Thanks for any help thumb.gif
