Your welcome.
Thanks for that. I've used the BF3 config tool before, but does it allow you to to change settings mid-game? In between rounds for example? If it does, awesome thumb.gif.

But there's still the terrible, over crowded mini map that doesn't display flag names. Still no in-game VOIP. Selecting which squad member to spawn on is still a pain because it doesn't seem to display where they are on the map correctly. Half of the team still doesn't join a squad because you aren't put into one automatically anymore. You still can't chat in between rounds. There are more issues, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head (and because someone else mentioned the last one haha).

Good core game, but damn it can be frustrating to play.

I agree............Usas(FRAG ROUNDS), Famas, F2000....All way over powered. They nerfed the Scar in the first patch and now these will get nerfed as well. So tired of always getting killed with either a Famas or USAS. Noobs will actually have to learn how to aim and fire after this patch. I always avoided using these guns because I knew there day would come in the next patch. People who always used them and got comfortable using them are screwed.

I disagree that the famas and F2000 are OP. The famas is very good at close range, but at mid-long range it's quite poor. The F2000 got nerfed recently already, it went from being a very good gun to a gun that's still capable, but it's outshined by other choices.

All in my opinion of course, but I'm an above average player so I like to think I know what I'm talking about tongue.gif

Yea all issues I have with the game as well. At least they are giving us VOIP.

I'm happy they're finally releasing the 'patch'. I'll reserve my judgement until the patch is released and I've had a chance to play on it.

The game in its current form leaves a bitter feeling. As it is right now, it's ridiculously bad in a lot of ways.

If anything the patch does works well, I hope for the sake of the game that it finally evens things out on the maps (am I dreaming?). I've only played maybe one or two really close games, worth playing. All the rest have been skewed - either you're on a team that gets pummeled, or you're on the pummeling team.

I don't mind not having the VOIP. I don't like listening to people in game. Heck, I hate reading the chat too. The only time I make that viewable is if my buddies and I are just saying messed up funny crap to get to someone. I use TS, that's my VOIP. This game is practically meant for clans. People in a squad that don't know you probably wont listen to the guy yelling in their ear lol. I know I don't. Hopefully it can be disabled as well. All the other issues you listed are fairly valid.

Also, here is a link to where I found that BF3 config utility. It also has a FXAA mod. I tried it, but it disables MSI afterburners on screen display so I removed it. It does make the game look better, for those interested. It is about the 3rd post down:
