Nor does this guarantee that they will do good in the future, but any of the old COD players have moved on now (myself included).
Now to show you the point I was making that you clearly missed is that you pretty much comparing Borderlands' consolified UI to every key PC feature bar kb/m support being taken out of COD aren't the same. Communities and clans were destroyed because of what they did to COD. Although you could probably chalk that up to a matter of opinion etc.

Actually, I didn't miss your point at all. I understand that you are sad that COD was once a PC centeric franchise turned console where as borderlands was a console franchise to begin with. That however doesn't actually make your point a valid counterargument to what I said.

A company "apologizing" about it's neglect of and dishonesty towards the PC gaming community is just that. It doesn't matter how it's dressed up or what the franchise is. it's still just a PR ploy attempting to salvage some respect from an otherwise disgruntled PC gaming community.

MY point, in case you missed it, is that trying to argue that in one case it is a good thing and in another is bad is simply a double standard.

Respect gained? Really? For what? This isn't going to change a damn thing. It's like a lover cheating on your, saying she's sorry and you end up taking her back with her still cheating on you.

No. It works for peer-to-peer ranked lobbies...as it did for MW2. You just need to be host. smile.gif

I never said that the Borderlands apology was a good thing either. There was no double standard. Of course we all know it's a PR ploy, but comparing (what you say was already a console franchise to begin with) Borderlands, to the destruction of a (for the most part up until MW2) PC-centric franchise isn't quite the same. Either way, all this PR nonsense coming from these Developers/Publishers is negative. That is all.

I am sensing they have another call of duty game coming up...they are just looking for buyers.

Borderlands apology: "Sorry guys, in Borderlands 2 we'll get all of the basic stuff that every PC game should have right this time, you wont be screwed over"

Infinity Ward apology: "Sorry, we know that we continually screw over the PC community... Here, have double XP!"
