But do you guys happen to know a solution to that?

Your CPU is far far to slow even OC'd for a decent experience in Dolphin. Dolphin is very CPU hungery.

As far as getting a Wii, yes its worth it. There are alot of great games for Wii. And Wii is nothing short of pure Epic when soft modded. thumb.gif

It's true that one of the reasons I'd want to get the Wii for would be the rail shooters. I really like them, especially with friends. smile.gif And the bundle that I can get for the Wii comes with 3 guns, so it's pretty good for that, while for the PS3 I'd have to get the Move + Eye camera, a gun, and I still wouldn't be able to play with a friend because I'd need another Move.

But I don't know if it's worth it for so little games... I don't want to buy it just for rail shooters, especially because there doesn't seem to be that many...

Oh, and I'll ask again, how would I connect it to my PC monitor and speakers?

Thanks for the help so far by the way.

P.S: I forgot to ask, is it possible to softmod absolutely ANY Wii at all? They don't have any pre-requisites or something like that?

Any Wii can be softmodded, the older white ones are preferable since they can read backup disks, but with the newer ones they can only be softmodded to use a USB loader, meaning u need to use a external hard drive or something similar.

Cool, good to know, especially since the Wii I'm getting is probably one of the older models.

But what about setting it up with my PC monitor/speakers? No one knows anything about that?

You will need to get a cable thats compatible, which the HDMI version is real expensive and not really worth it. Something like this will do http://www.amazon.com/Multi-Input-PlayStation-Gamecube-Dreamcast-Camcorder-2/dp/B000JCLLUW

Also helps if you wanna use a ps2 or something else.

Damn, that's expensive... I don't think I'll be bothering myself with the Wii if that's the only possibility for having it connected to my PC monitor/speakers... I mean, I just don't have any TVs around here that are good enough...

One is a really small (around 13 inch maybe) CRT TV, and the other is a bigger but broken CRT TV where half the image gets cut and you can't see a thing on it. And I'm not willing to pay that much for having it connected to the only decent monitor in the house... So yeah.... :/

But thanks, still.

Wait for the Wii U. As an experienced Wii owner, that is the best advice.

I've softmodded the hell out of my Wii, and used Dolphin when I finally broke my Wii (Unrelated to softmodding). Neither are worth it at this point IMO.
