Just got a new desk so im facing my 27 inch monitor head on, since then I have been very ocd with the screen moving it every minute. I cant leave it alone kookoo.gif
My eyes are getting really tired since I moved it and im not really focusing on anything, so how far do you all sit from you 27inch monitors please help me before I go crazy.
Further away is good for gaming you can see more without moving your neck or eyes as much but for browsing its really bad text is blurry. Oh and also my neck is soar tried to
some press ups last night and had a killer pain in my neck, what does that mean you think im sitting to close or to far away.

Probably too close. at a minimum, extend your arm, hand pointed straight away from you. Fingertips just barely not touching monitor is your minimum (probably farther for a 27"). ~middle/top third of screen should be eye level when doing this.

I sit directly in front of my 27" (1080p) and it's about 26" from the front (edge) of my desk to the monitor (screen). Surfing and gaming seems to be fine for me at this distance. I don't have to move my head too much and never experienced neck pain from it since I've been using it for 4 months.

Thankyou for the replies, put 2 guinness world record books under it to prop it up so I am not looking down at it all the time. Hopefully that will be better on my neck. tongue.gif
