680 Overclocking (Calling all owners!) - Page 2

Interesting, just as I thought. +150 and +160 were stable in 3DMark for me. Heaven, they both crash before completing. I actually passed once with +150, but the 2nd loop failed. It seems reviewers were given slightly better cards... They seem to be getting +153 to +155 across the board. +600 memory is stable for you? I'll have to try that.
yep +600 stable i think it can go higher aswell, has no one played with the voltage control in the evga tool?
I was stable in Heaven with these settings. Sick of playing with this, time to play BF3 lol.

Wrong. It simply increases the cap on GPU boost, it does *NOT* affect the base clocks at all.

+140
+500

Took 3 loops but heaven did crash. +600 to memory results in instant artifacts. What gives? My card is a dud overclocker it seems.

Wait, are you guys overclocking with stock volts or do you have the volts max at under voltage control set to 1.175?

Setting it to 1.175 does nothing for me? GPU-Z still reads that i'm using 1.167.

EDIT: I take that back, it does do something! You can go up to 1.215v

If I am reading it right, the EVGA tuner doesn't let you mess with 3D mode voltage only the lower power state. The 3D mode is grayed out.

Nope, i'm confirming that setting the top voltage meter is allowing me to run +160 core (so far stable), when it use to crash instantly.

I have it set to 1.175v now, and my card was running at 1.167. The card's default boost spikes it into 1.175v so it should be fine.

I thought changing the voltage was pointless because it auto-adjusts and the guy in the EVGA video said it can actually hinder performance.

The "algorithm" that nvidia guy talked about is going to be fun to figure out. I'm sure we will have all kinds of flow charts to get the best OC in the coming weeks biggrin.gif
