I have the bracket and Back plate from Dwood to attach the Asetek OEM pumps. I have an Antec 620 pump mounted on it and even while running benchmarks and folding with an over-voltage modded BIOS and it overclocked to the max it never reaches 50*C and is dead silent. So I would highly suggest this mod if you don't want to do a full custom loop but, want to take advantage of awesome silent cooling.

I started overclocking my MSI 680 twin frozr today, following the 670 master guide.

132% power target
1.175v
1280 core
3305 mem
temps below 78C at 65% fan

I'm getting driver crashes after an hour of heaven and randomly in crysis 3. Should I be dropping memory or core frequencies? Memory over +310 offset starts showing green flash artifacts in heaven but where it is now i get no artifacts in benchmarks or games.

Since the memory frequency is fairly low I should be lowering core, right?

Does setting the power target over what the card is actually using have an effect on anything, since the first temperature based down throttle is already in effect? Can I keep it at 132% for everyday use?

I have the 680 Lightning.

IMO the card is getting too hot. I set a custom fan profile in afterburner that starts at 50C and if the card hits 60C the fan ramps up to 100%. I've only had the card 3 days and right now I'm @ 1385 on the core and 3400 on the mem. Still testing this OC before I keep pushing it. I like to use all the benchmarks and all my games before I OC more.

With that fan profile my temps so far at the max are 64C. In Metro its max is like 61C. If I were you I would set power target for whatever your max is. Mine is 300%. I also maxed out my voltage as well since I have the proper cooling. All I have to worry about now is finding out how far I can OC the core since I know cooling will never be a problem.

I'm a little late to the game, but here it goes. I'm using an Nvidia reference card pulled from an Alienware computer. I have it water cooled with an XSPC block. Max temps are 45C and idle is 28C.

Settings:
+132 power
+150 core
+500 mem

Completely stable in heaven valley benches (avg. 49 FPS) and many games.

Hey guys,

I have 2 EVGA GTX 680 4GB w/backplate (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2686-KR), and they are water cooled with EK blocks.

Can see them in my build log which is in my signature.

Just wondering if anyone else has these cards and what kind of overclocking numbers they have got with them. I'm still running stock atm, so I'm just looking for a target to hit i guess.

Thanks

I have two superclocked 2Gb versions with ek blocks and backplates in my loop. Just now trying to do some ocing on them, so far this is what i have it set to.
120% power target
+50 gpu clock offset
+0 mem clock offset
thats with evga's precision 4.0 and i'm getting 1215mhz in bc2.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply.

So far i have got.

132% power target
+127 on core clock
+450 on memory clock

Temps never go over 55 degrees smile.gif and im using EVGA Precision X 4.0 to overclock
