When you say I got +130 on the core, does that include the boost clock or is that straight offset.

Just shy from hitting 1400. 1398 I believe, will check once I get back home.

I just got the MSi N680GTX card and was playing with the numbers. It isn't the Lightning - it's the twin frozr III 2GB version.

Any suggestions? My rig (The PC) and 3DMark score is in my sig.

Thanks
- Charles

Not sure if anyone has tried the PNY GTX 680 2GB, so here goes...

132% power target
+125 core
+200 mem

Ran Heaven benchmark...

I didn't try to hit the max overclock cause I just got it, and the stock cooler can get a bit loud for my taste. Although I did try once, driver failure hit at +130 core, so I just reverted back to +125. Will try overclocking more when I decide to exchange the stock cooler for something like the twin turbo II or icy vision rev.2. Will not try water cooling because I have an Alienware Aurora case (that I now despise despite it looking pretty with all the lights and all, I would rather have a more mod-friendly case with more space. I'd have to tear this thing all sorts of apart to make it water cooler friendly.

Overall very pleased, unfortunately I do own a PNY GTX 670 in another build that could overclock a bit better, reaching stock 680 specs in terms of memory and core clocks, but I did switch the stock cooler on the 670 because it had terrible coil whine.

Can we use Heaven 4.0? and should I set all the settings to max?

I crash in Heaven in less than 1 minute using those clocks. "Superclocked" my butt... mad.gif

I hate to dig up an old post, but I HAD to share my appreciation for the knowledge this thread brought me. I OC'd my EVGA GTX 680 using a rough measurement I saw on youtube I knew was safe, but I knew my card could go a little stronger. I found this site by doing a google search and immediately knew people here knew their stuff cause I was experiencing the same issues when trying to find the right OC for my card. After reading various suggestions and taking into account the issues some users were having with their cards...I finally got the right OC number for my setup. It's not as strong as I like, but it's very, VERY stable and I got an increase of 10-15+ fps and games and my rig run consistant. BF3 rocks 70-110fps while playing multiplayer during mild action and 50-70fps during heavy, heavy load. Below are my numbers in EVGA Precision X

132% power target
+150 core
+500 mem

Fan curve I have set to increase every 10 to match the temp and it keeps the card quiet and solid. So 30c = 30%, 40c = 40% and so on. Thank you ALL again for chiming in on your builds and experiences.
