The settings were +132% / +150 / +500. I'm done with testing otherwise I'd run it again. Back to the GTX 560 Ti for me for a bit smile.gif

Murlocke was saying earlier in the thread his card was throttling in the 75 degree range so I imagine this is pretty accurate. Even though these cards run super cool it would appear that they would still see some benefit from water. Artic Accelero would probabally do the trick as well if you are ok with triple slot cooling. If it could keep my OC'd 480 under 60 degrees I know it could keep a 680 under the downclocking threshold.

I'm eager to see the non-reference air cooling solutions with more robust circuitry. I have a feeling that there's a lot of potential there wink.gif

Interesting. I see the reasoning, but that certainly is a fun fact to know.

I'm hoping to see a ability to unlock more volts in the future. 132% is nice. But I'd like to see the ability to reach 150% atleast. We could break 1300mhz easy if we had just 5-10% more headroom on the voltage.

No doubt. Have you seen the 7970 Lightning? Thing is a beast. Looking forward to what MSI/EVGA specifically have cooked up for the 680.

So your hotclock is 113mhz and mine is 130.. it seems the hot clock differs by card.

also..

I also noticed some throttling (volt and clock) in haven, but only for a second every time my temp went from 69-70c, however, the TDP was also bouncing between 120-130 so maybe...

I'm needing about 80% fan in haven to keep it at 69c. Will have to make a more aggressive fan curve :\

Really? I've got slightly higher clocks and I was able to stay at 67c @ 71% fan speed during heaven, and the EVGA furry test. If your still around in a couple hours I'll be able to give you better numbers. I've tweaked so much during lunch. I'm at the office now. What memory settings are you using?

Top card got over 91C while playing BF3... It was throttling like a mother.

I hate air reference cooling.

Running 2 EVGAs. Currently have Power Target at 115%, GPU Offset at +150, Mem Offset at +500. Been looping diff benches maxed and havent crashed. Just played about an hour and a half of bf3 fully maxed 64p games without a hiccup. Temp coming out of it was 62. Highest temp I saw in benches was 80. Extremely happy with the performance, noise level, and temps of both of my cards. Don't see any need to push it further..... for now.

Wow wow, that's toasty. What was the fan speed profile? You might need to get more aggressive cause that's hot.
