I hit a P score of 23,000 in 3dmark11 with my 3 GTX 680s in Tri-SLI, but I've been having strange issues as of late. My 3 7970s don't have this issue, but as soon as I swapped in the 680s and grabbed the latest Nvidia Drivers from their site today, I started having issues. The main issue I'm having is I COMPLETELY lose power sometimes during gaming or benchmarking, and this happens at STOCK also.

It's very frustrating. I'm thinking about just throwing the 7970s back in and picking up a 4th if I can't fix this problem. After all they perform nearly IDENTICAL to my 7970s. The 3dmark11 score was only 400 points apart from my 7970s, and in BF3, the FPS are nearly the same as well. We'll see how it goes.

If any of you have had the power loss problem, let me know.

My PSU isn't the culprit as it's a 1200W and had NO issues with my 7970s OC'd.

does your power peak at or around 132%?

Are you asking him because of his large OC? I don't know if I ever saw mine even go over 100. Maybe 110.

Mine seems to hit 115-118 at its peak during some scenes in Heaven 3.0 so I have it at 125% just to be safe. This is with a 1267 overall boost clock and +450 on the memory.

Is really BF3 that demanding ? I though i could play on ultra and get above 100FPS with one GTX680 @1080p. I have 120hz Monitor....This laptop ( sig rig ) pulls 45-60 FPS ( min. dips to 30 ) on High settings, with medium AA / SSAO / no Blur. Hard to believe that biggrin.gif

By the way, what is the card rumored to come around August ? Is that 670 or 780 ?

You are definitely not going to get a minimum of 100 with one 680. I would say my minimum is 60 but its normally between 80-110. Which on a 60hz monitor = great performance.

You'll get crazy FPS on a single monitor. I'm doing great on multi player BF3 maxed graphic settings.

The big card coming in August is GTX 690.

The 700 series 384 bit 780 is hopefully in December with AMD launch of 8000 series line.

I hear Nvidia is going to be getting supply chips from Samsung possibly to meet demand. TSMC is a joke theses days and has dropped the ball.

I thought I heard they were going to deal with intel. Great match! biggrin.gif

Glad to hear this. Well maybe i am going to wait for that lovely 690. Since summer holiday is the time i should do my custom build, we should see which card prove itself to be a better value. I am hoping for a card that can pull above 100 FPS most of the times, so lets see if 690 can deliver that. On a single monitor, at least so far.
