It's not that 1250 is a bad score but with a good overclock on the card I was hoping for more like 1400 as others with similar setups seem to get at least that.
Could the motherboard have any affect here? I have the pci 2.0 not 3.0 if that makes any difference ... Or maybe my card simply doesn't perform as well as it should despite the high overclock ...

Im just about to finish a night shift, when i get home ill test my card at your settings. Im also PCI 2.0.

Edit: the results are in.

301.10 Drivers on both.

Everything set to stock:
Motherboard X58-UD7 PCI 2.0
i7 920 2.66 with turbo and HT on so 2.80 with 8 threads.
24GB of pretty rubbish RAM
GTX 680 all stock but with 85% fan speed.
My core hits 1137Mhz on stock boost.
Score 1298
FPS 51.5
375
338

Overclocking:
Everything set to stock:
Motherboard X58-UD7 PCI 2.0
i7 920 4.18 NO TURBO, HT on 8 threads
24GB of pretty rubbish RAM
GTX 680 +200 Core +500 Memory +132 Power with 85% fan speed.
My core hits 1337Mhz on boost.
Score 1536
FPS 61.0
375
338

DimmyK had a 680 doing 1327 core and had the exact same sores as me only he was running a i5 2700K.

A couple of things, do you use EVGA or MSI OSD while in Heaven? Try it and make sure your card is staying at a steady high boost speed and your GPU usage is 99/100% and not having big dips...

Also i notice you said 4.0Ghz x4, do you not have HT on? Don't know how much this would affect the score.

Benchmarks are really hit and miss between systems. I know the feeling when everyone's score is better than yours but I wouldn't sweat it too much. Yours seems to be right there.

thanks for the replies so fare, guys.

@Jacedeface, yeah, I get the same core clock speed on default but a far worse score.

I am currently using EVGA and looking at the logs then the GPU is always at araround 99% usage. I haven't tried it yet with Afterburner but I would expect the same result ... maybe worth giving it a shot though.

Regarding the CPU, then year, I can see 8 threads running from the performance tab in the Task Manager so I think it is running at full whack. I even checked the performance of the CPU during benchmarking ut it is barely even touching the sides.

@Lightsout, thanks. Yeah, you're right I am not too worried as my performance in game (where it matters for me) is V good and sounds like I get the same or even slightly better results of average FPS on similar systems in similar maps/situations ... although this is always difficult to quantify.

But it IS frustrating as i would have expected a similar score to most of the others in this thread.

I do still have my GTX 570 SC. Do you think it would be helpful to stick it back in and benchmark and compare with the 570 thread? This may at least narrow down the 'problem' to either the car or the rig, right?

I reckon its a bit early to be worrying too much about overclocking. They are still fairly new and I'm positive we'll see some improvements with further driver updates. These cards are amazing even at stock.

I myself am running an EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked Version clocked at 1058Mhz with a boost to 1124Mhz and I am loving this card, it can run anything with all settings maxed out. BTW I game on a single monitor at 1920x1080. Playing Battlefield 3 with every setting maxed out I get 90+ FPS. Sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less depending on the situation. This card is awesome and definately worth the money. And I understand why the hardcore overclockers would be a little frustrated about the lack of voltage control but seriously, in terms of pure gaming this card is just amazing and I think people should appreciate their cards more, be patient and who knows, the next driver update could be the solution to our over locking issues. smile.gif

Had these cards ever since release and over the weekend put them under water.
I love the temps I'm getting (35C during BF)

338

No matter what I try, +75/100 is the highest OC I can get it to, anyone have suggestions?

Without voltage control, that's most likely your limit, unfortunately. Water doesn't do much for voltage locked cards.

700

Bumped the memory to 500 for fun over 400. Stressed it, then stressed it at 515, and benched it. Getting tired but might keep trying to push the memory up tomorrow night. Core crashes at 195 at one run through, but is stable for hours at 185 so I think I will just leave it until we find a way to min max the settings.

Also my card never goes 80% power, but will sit consistantly at 1.175v under load. I'm a noob to these things, but I would have thought that would mean there is more power to play with for higher oc, but I guess not.
