2500k Offset Mode

Currently, I'm running my 2500k @ 4.5 GHz using Level 5 LLC and the load Vcore comes out to be 1.320 V (never fluctuates).

Since I wanted to increase the longevity of my chip, I decided to try out offset mode. In order to close to 1.320, I needed +0.100 V (Vdrop runs at 1.308/1.320/1.330), but I would constantly get 0x124 BSODs. My board doesn't support LLC using offset mode, so my question is why offset mode is so unstable (and requires a higher voltage), while LLC runs at a lower voltage without any BSODs?

How would I fix this? All settings are on auto except for the ones mentioned above.

LLC compensates for vdroop, that's why you can set a lower voltage in the BIOS. I'm a little confused about what your load voltage is when using offset mode, is it 1.308, 1.320 or 1.330? Or does it vary?

You'll need to play around with some VRM settings like current capabilities, frequency, duty and phase control. I can't remember what these are called in your BIOS but if you look up an OC guide for Gigabyte boards you'll have an idea of what you need to tweak in order to optimise power delivery to the CPU.

You must turn off the C3 and C6 states for the CPU in the bios.

The problem is that the CPU is unstable on full load. My voltage varies. C3/C6 was already turned off.

If you're stable with LLC on then use it. Otherwise you need more offset voltage to combat vdroop which occurs when a load is applied to your CPU.
