Upgrading my RAM

Thread Starter
I made the mistake of buying crucial trash RAM at 3.0 CAS ( I mis-read a review about OCZ saying that it needed more voltage than my MB could give but this was only for OCing)

So is it worth paying $200 for 2GB of this cas 2.5, when I could get 1GB (I already have 1gb) more of my CAS 3 crucial for $150 (I don't plan on upgrading again until 2008 when I go to college, then I will buy a new rig so I don't care about upgradebility).

Also is this the best bang for buck ram? If you have and suggestions they are welcome. I am pretty sure this is compatible with my current setup, but I want to be 100% sure so please tell me if it will work.

P.S. I was also angered by the fact that crucial raised prices since I bought my ram in AUG 2005, despite the ram becoming obsolete

This is what I am planning on getting:

How much of a difference would I notice in a game like bf2142 between 2gb of cas 3 and 2gb of cas 2.5? Would it be in the 5-10 or higher fps range?

The difference is performance from CAS 2 to CAS 3 is in the 1-3% range so no it is definately not worth it.
