That's not the same same as cooling the Voltage Regulation Modules, the things that if they get hot enough can cause fires.

why? just save that and get a better mobo. and don't buy computer parts in BB.

a lot of members beg a 3.8GHz oc. and yours is a hex.

EDIT: here. you might find a great deal . . .

motherboard. you've got a good chip that needs the right home. but, like you and i now agree - 3.8 is cool, especially for a hex.

not sure if the prices are still the same . . .

Mobo this . . . $90

Or this . . .$95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131767

i bought my mobo used here in ocn.

EDIT: i'll take that back. not really worth spending anymore for a 200MHz increase if ever. so, forget it and just stick with 3.8GHz.

as you can see I can hit 4.2 with my 1090T but from my sig rig you will see I have a 8+2 phase board and alot of times in the summer I drop it back to 3.9 and Im running a H100 I don't see a real big lose in the 300 mhz
