Exploration Games - Page 2

if you liked fo3, i honestly think you will like new vegas, there are alot more "interesting" places to explore, like random towns, random military bases, things like that, where as in fo3, after awhile, it all kinda blended into the same thing. new vegas has random encamptments (for example on my first 2 play throughs, i missed the i88 hub entirely, didnt know it was there, and its like right in the open) cause i dont look at faqs or anything about games when im trying to explore.

about 2 years ago, i learned that sometimes i need to explore outside of video games, and i took on the hobbie of toy collecting, and warhammer 40k, when i see someone else set up there army, its like im playing a brand new video game, that i in a way created (in the sense that i created my army and play style, and now when i go to flea markets and comic cons and such, i am exploring other peoples lives, its pretty cool.

still, i want a game like mine craft (where its essentially endless) where i can go and explore (mine craft has no real reason to explore, cause youll never find anything new or different), although sometimes ill hop on a random server and look at what other people have come up with) but there are no games anymore where its justs like, hey random person, go everywhere, and explore the history of this gigantic world, later.

then again, i also play magic the gathering, when i want something kinda random. i only keep one deck at a time, and sell my old stuff, my current deck intotal has cost me about a hundered canadian, and its good from last sept to next one, so im fine with that.

but like i said, if u come up with anything, let me know

I haven't actually started playing it but I've certainly read about it enough:
seem to hear nothing but positives about Ultima 7...have to be willing to go super-old-school obviously. Only 20 years old smile.gif There's a project to update the graphics as well as one to make it run on Android (haven't tried that yet either).

Anyway if you want deep exploration to a ridiculous degree I'd say that's the way to go. (Quite affordable/updated for modern OS/hardware over at GoG).

Ultima 7 is fantastic! One of my favorites, ultima 8 was good too. U7 has alot to explore. Myst was also good, tried riven but found some of the puzzles a little too impossible (maybe due to my age at the time).
