3820 vs 3930K for gaming purposes - Page 2

I read an article sorry i cant post but the guy dropped the multiplier a little raised 37 i think, the base clock to 1.25 and got stable 4.7ghz speeds if anyone has one of these bad boys and has had similar results please share. for my gaming I feel this should be more then adequate until I get a second gtx 680 and start running 3x displays.

If your goal is gaming with 2011 grab the 3820. You can OC it very easily. I know this to be true biggrin.gif

cool guys 3820 it will be!! biggrin.gif have my basic system running by easter then do another upgrade to new processor once the ivy brridge e releases and drops in price prob early next year. AWESOME!!!! smile.gifsmile.gif

Been stable at 4.625 for 6 hours on OCCT so far on air.
