I have not actually powered up the rig yet so I have not yet tested the fans. They look good though ! (The red/brown color actually works with the case.)

Why not use an H100 ? I have seen numerous other examples of ppl using them and it looks like it will work fine. thinking.gif

People are just being a bit snobby - i.e. why spend all the money on a custom colored M8 and then cheap out on cooling.

The reality is that plenty of people buy caselabs cases and still run them on air. This is an M8, the smallest case CL make right now, it's not a TH10 or TX10-V so it's not ridiculously oversized for no reason, plus this is SB which is hardly a heat monster anyway. Some people also don't want to fuss with custom water and I think sometimes people want to think that their $1000 cooling setup is 10x better because it cost 10x, and the reality is that it isn't 10x better, it's not even 2x better on temps - in my testing on a 990x it was 5-10C better depending on how much you spend on the loop. I've seen a 20C change in temps with the dust build up on an open air radiator in 6 weeks! It will look cooler though and be quieter though so it depends what's important to you.

Haha, now I understand the comment -- that didn't even occur to me. Since this is my first build ever, I thought it was a tad too ambitious to mess around with water cooling yet. I'm sure I could do it (and will do it in the future), but baby steps are what I need right now.

The H100 is a great way to get introduced to water cooling and I know of several people using them in our cases. The nice thing about the M8 is that you can easily stop there, or if your plans become more ambitious, it's ready for a full-on WC build - no need to change cases. wink.gif
