Want a new computer chair, Steel, not plastic.

I've owned several plastic computer chairs. They all break. Sure, it could be because of my weight, but I've also heard of people whom weigh half as much as I do breaking the same chair as me, so no more hard plastic chairs.

What I'm using right now, is a wooden chair, with a pillow, and I figure it's time to trade up. I'd like one that doesn't heat up. This is one of my biggest issues, computer chairs that heat up after 5 or so minutes of sitting in one, it's all of a sudden like you got a heating pad on your bum.

Also, the wrist wrests, I'd like them to be detachable. I like to sit Indian style in my chair(Weird, I know). I've never actually used wrist wrests and I find them kind of useless on chairs. I'd also like if the back is attached to the seat itself, not attached by the wrist wrests, obviously, a stupid design and it makes chairs weaker. Poor support.

I prefer Steel, as I know it won't break easy. I don't really care for reclining options and I'd prefer one with a stick back more than anything else, really. Comfort is expected, but I want to be able to lay back in the chair and not have it tilt.

I didn't want to spend alot of money, but I started looking;

And a steel chair, a quality one, without such issues, easily breaks into the 200$ price range...ugh. But hey, it's something I have to do.

I was looking at this:

http://www.amazon.com/CHAIR-HI-BACK-LTHR-BKCHMS/dp/B001PMJZGW/ref=reg_hu-rd_add_1_dp

223$ + Free shipping.

Steel.

Supports 400+ pounds.

Quality. Leather, comes recommended highly. Since you do assemble it, it looks from the pictures I could take the arm wrests off.

Any suggestions? No plastic please...I think it looks really cheap as well.

Assemble without tools?

That's...interesting, but in a chair, that sounds dangerous.

Also, that chair looks like the arm wrests are what is keeping the back on, which I'm against.

Ohh ~

I've found another person who does it, people just don't get it, do they? It's so comfortable!

But finding a computer chair, one that is without arm wrests and has abit bigger space to sit, hard to find.

That is what I use and I have had it for almost 3 years now. The arms mount to the bottom of the chair and easily removable. I usually sit with my right leg indian style with leg leg hanging thumb.gif

Edit: Actually this looks a little different than mine, the headrest on mine is leather. I did however get it at staples when it was on sale for $189. Staples also offers a 3 year extended warranty for $15 that will cover ANY damage (at least when I bought it they did).

Two more I've been looking at, support around 225-250 pounds, not bad, but I'd like one that supports abit more than that, cause, well, Indian style + I like plop down on my chair, you know? That adds extra weight.
