Which motherboard to OC my Q9650? (also want SATA 3.0 and SLI support)

Hey guys, I currently have an ASUS P5B-E with the Q9650. The problem is that the board itself barely even supports the Q9650, much less the ability to overclock it very well. The other problem is that it doesn't support SATA 3.0, which I would like because my new SSD will be 3.0.

SLI isn't necessary, but it's an added bonus. I have the Geforce GTX 480, and I might want to add another one someday. I don't plan on upgrading my CPU for a while because I know the Q9650 is still quite capable and to get an equivalent one, it would cost a lot of money. Also, overclocking my CPU will keep it relevant even longer. Please recommend some boards!

Thanks :-)

Your best bet will be to get an x48/P45 board and get and an expansion board. There's no good overclocking boards that have SATA 3 or USB3, only low end boards. Fortunately, there are lots of boards that have DDR3 support, mostly x48 boards.

Sorry, I'm a bit unfamiliar with some of this stuff. What's an expansion board? And are you saying I can get a ddr3 board with sli and sata 3.0?

Thanks for the reply!
